About the Artist

Gerald Simcoe currently paints in his own studio on a large country estate in Pennsylvania. Being classically trained at the Art Student's League of New York and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, he paints in oils in the grand manner of Benjamin West and the Peale Family.

Mr. Simcoe's works are represented in numerous collections both here and abroad. He has exhibited at the South Alleghenies Museum of Art, The Wintergarden on Wall Street and various galleries in New York and Philadelphia. Most recently, he completed a standing, full-length portrait of the Rector at St. Clements' Episcopal Church in Philadelphia.

Being also an avid horticulturist, orchidist, he grows many of the exotic flowers he paints, in his own greenhouse.
